Infertility Medication That May Enable Pregnancy

Infertility is defined as being unable to naturally bring about conception between a man and a woman.  There are many causes for infertility.  Reasons for not being able to conceive may lie with the man’s reproductive system or the woman’s reproductive system.  It is estimated that one of ten couples experience infertility or over 6 million people in America alone.Как сделать гаражные ворота своими руками

Fortunately, there are many possible methods available to those who are experiencing this problem.  Such treatments are dependent upon the cause of the infertility. Some of those treatments include invitro fertilization, artificial insemination and surgery.

One addition treatment method is through the use of infertility medications.  Some of those medications include Bromocriptine, Clomiphene and Metformin.

Bromocriptine

This particular infertility medication has been shown to be effective when a woman is unable to ovulate.  This inability to ovulate is due to the overproduction of prolactin.  This female hormone is generated through the pituitary gland.

The action of this infertility medication works with the pituitary gland and decreases the manufacturing of prolactin to an acceptable range.  This reduction of prolactin then allows the woman to ovulate and increase the potential of pregnancy.

The associated side effects documented with the taking of this infertility medication has been dizziness and nausea.

Clomiphene

Another infertility medication, that has exhibited success, is Clomiphene.   Similar to Bromocriptine, this infertility medication induces ovulation.  In addition, the documentation of multiple female ova has been exhibited.

Specifically, this induced ovulation is accomplished as the medication sends a false signal to the pituitary gland.  This false signal indicates to the pituitary gland that the female hormone estrogen is at a low level of production.  This results in an increased level of estrogen which in turn signals to a vesicle in the woman’s ovary, known as the follicle, to release additional eggs.

The side effects associated with this infertility medication are changes in emotions, tenderness of the mammary glands, hot flashes and possible headaches.

Clomiphene has also been shown to be an effective medication in the treatment of infertility of the male.  Basically, this infertility medication stimulates the testicles of the man in the same fashion as the medication stimulates the ovaries of the female.  A false signal is sent to the testicles that the male’s testosterone levels are low which in turn causes an increase in the male hormone resulting in a higher sperm count.

Metformin

This infertility medication is indicated for women who have been diagnosed with PCOD or Polycystic Ovarian Disease.  This particular disease is defined as a condition of the woman’s reproductive system in which there is an abundance of follicles.  However, there is no production of ovum.  This particular medication is defined as an antibiotic and as such aids in the biological responses of the women’s ovaries to the pituitary gland.

The possible side effects of Metformin are the feelings of nausea and flatulence.
